What is a Medical Alarm?
A Medical Alarm is a Personal Emergency Response System [PERS]. It is a signaling device that summons help at the push of a botton. The system consists of a base unit connected to hydro and to the telephone line, plus wireless transmiter that is worn by the person or persons requiring the service. When an emergency occurs, you simply press the button on your pendant or hand transmitter to alert our response center that you need help. The monitoring station will contact your family, neighbors, friends or even the emergency services. There are several ways that our medical alarm transmitter can be worn. There is the pendant, wrist bracelet and the clip to attach it to your belt. The base station remains on a table, nightstand, end table, etc.
